Amazon's technological reach has no bounds. What started as an online bookseller is now a far-reaching conglomerate. In essence, they are in every industry—including portrait photography. Can a bookseller democratize professional photography? Or does this recent entrant reshape the market? Overall, I’m excited about the shift. There are so many disruptive technologies entering the market. On the whole, disruption always brings new opportunities for the well-prepared. In the meantime, my tea leaves suggest that we need to rethink what it means to be a professional photographer in the age of Skynet. I mean Amazon.
