Professional Photography in the age of Amazon

Welcome to the future of professional photography. Amazon’s technological reach has no limit. In fact, Amazon is now a far-reaching digital organism. Amazon is tapped into our daily habits. In essence, they are in every industry—including portrait photography. Can a bookseller democratize professional photography? Or does this recent entrant reshape the market? Overall, I’m excited about the shift. There are so many disruptive technologies entering the market. On the whole, disruption always brings new opportunities for the well-prepared. In the meantime, my tea leaves suggest that we need to rethink what it means to be a professional photographer in the next age.
